Shannon Reed

Shannon Reed DVM, MS, DACVS-LA is an associate clinical professor at Texas A&M university. She has a passion for retraining, showing, researching, and assisting Thoroughbreds retiring from racing. Her passion for Second (and Third) Career Thoroughbreds has led her to be lucky enough to be the winner of the ASPCA Good People for Good Horses Award, The Retired Racehorse Project Thoroughbred Ambassador Award, and the ACVS Lynn Wheaton Philanthropy Award. She is heavily involved in using retired racehorses as a platform to introduce veterinary students to equine practice in a positive and welcoming way.
