Frank M. Andrews received his D.V.M. and M.S. from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After a year in private practice, Dr. Andrews completed a residency in equine internal medicine and surgery at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Andrews joined the faculty at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988 as an Assistant Professor of Large Animal Internal Medicine. Dr. Andrews spent 20 years at the University of Tennessee and 16 years ago he relocated to Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine where he is LVMA Equine Committee Professor and Head, and Director of the Equine Health and Sports Performance (EHSP) in Veterinary Clinical Sciences. Dr. Andrews clinical and research interests includes diagnosis, treatment and prevention of Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome among other equine medicine topics. Dr. Andrews continues to participate in clinical research, equine medicine, and teaches professional veterinary and graduate students at LSU Vet Med.
