Dr. Folmar has been actively involved with the AAEP since she was a veterinary student at Texas A&M University. Following completion of a rotating internship at the Equine Medical Center of Ocala, she was accepted into the large animal internal medicine residency program at the University of Georgia. Her primary research interest is neonatal medicine, but she also enjoys emergency and critical care work. She currently serves as a member of the AAEP Horse Owner Education Committee. In her free time, she enjoys scuba diving, painting, and enjoys riding her horse, Apollo.
